A calling from the Lord is a noble calling. Jesus has a plan for every person, whether that is a man called to be a priest or religious brother/monk, a woman called to be a religious sister/nun, or a man and woman entering into the Sacrament of Marriage. All have a calling from the Lord; he leaves no one forgotten. 

"Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time: thus, it is the sacrament of apostolic ministry. It includes three degrees: episcopate, presbyterate, and diaconate." Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1536
